Accompaniment

We are here to accompany you to the Hospital, Law Enforcement, Court, Shelter.

 

Hospital Accompaniment

This is going to the hospital with victim to see the Dr. or S.A. N.E. Nurse.Just to be moral support during victims time of need.  

Law Enforcement Accompaniment

When the law enforcement officer calls for a member of the Hardin Crime Victims’ Assistance Center to come to help a victim, we normally meet the client at the sheriff’s office or a local police station.   We help victim to fill out an intake and to do a CVC and if needed a MOEP.

Court Accompaniment

Being with Victim through the court process, whether this is sitting outside the courtroom in the D.A.’s or C.A.’s office with Client, witnesses and family, or being in the courtroom on behalf of client.  Getting client a drink, something to eat, helping take their mind off what is going on in the courtroom. Never leaving client to face things alone.

S.A.N.E. Accompaniment

When a client is a victims of sexual assault, they are normally sent for an exam by the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (S.A.N.E.).  We accompany clients if needed to this office to be moral support and offer crisis counseling as needed.

Transportation to a Safe Place

Taking client to a shelter, police station, or sheriff’s office.
